CienCień
Curating post-disciplinary perspectives
I. Name
CienCień is an independent curatorial platform for post-disciplinary creative practice. Its name – derived from the Spanish cien (hundred) and Polish cień (shadow) – evokes the intersection of multiple, overlooked perspectives, forming new constellations of meaning.
II. Vision
Offering a hybrid space for collective presence, artistic research and cultural exchange, the platform’s evolving program includes exhibitions, residencies, and site-responsive formats that blur disciplinary boundaries and invite artistic experimentation.

III. Statement
CienCień was launched in Basel in 2025 by Wiktoria Tundys and Natalia Blanco. The initiative emerged from a shared interest in alternative models of cultural production and exchange between communities, disciplines and ways of thinking.
